曼彻斯特大学法律硕士课程点评

　　曼彻斯特大学(The University of Manchester)，简称曼大，始建于1824年，位于英国第二繁华城市曼彻斯特，是英国最大的单一校址大学。曼大的前身分别是始建于1824年的曼彻斯特理工大学(UMIST)和建于1851年的欧文斯学院(1880年升格为维克多利亚曼彻斯特大学)。这两所世界一流学府经过上百年的独立发展，终于宣布于2004年10月22日合二为一，成为现在的曼彻斯特大学。

　　在英国学法律，可谓漫漫长路，英美式法律教育体制中设有“法学硕士”这个学位，英文是“Master of Laws”，简写为“LLM.”。本科非法学学位，通过司法考试或者由相关法律工作经验也是可以申请英国法学硕士的。曼大法学院创办于1872年，也是英国里面强大的法学院之一，除了各种优质的教育师资，学院的许多学者与包括联合国、世贸组织在内的许多海外组织都有研究联系。伯利兹前总理赛义德穆萨(Said Musa)就毕业在曼大法学院。

　　曼大的名气大，他们家法学院的各种LLM课程在国内外还是有一定知名度的。读法律说不难都是假的，曼大的课程设置很丰富很丰满，师资也强大。但决心在英国读law不妨多参照几家学校。
